By MATT BROWNBERRY, Associated PressHealth care is a huge business, and the average American spends $6,200 a year on medical expenses, according to the most recent figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

For the first time, the federal government has created a national list of massage therapists and physiotherapists.
The list, which was unveiled in February, will be made available to the public on the website of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the agency that runs the program.
The list includes massage therapists who practice in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and they have to be licensed by the state or territory they practice.
It does not include physiotherapist who practice within a state, but the bureau’s list does include all of the nation’s health care professionals who practice physiotherapy.
The bureau said the list of physiotherapsists and massage therapists was created in response to requests from people seeking advice on their care.
It said that it is not affiliated with any state or local agency and that it only lists registered therapists who have obtained their licenses.
The health care industry is expected a big part of the growth of the Affordable Care Act, the signature health care overhaul enacted in 2010.
The law expanded the eligibility for Medicaid and provided tax credits for people to purchase insurance plans.
