Man in critical condition after falling from bridge
A man has died after falling down a bridge in east London, it was revealed.

The man is believed to have fallen from a bridge at South Street between the Royal London Hospital and Southgate Bridge at about 8:45am on Saturday (local time).
He was treated by paramedics at the scene.
The bridge is a high-profile location for cyclists and pedestrians in the area, and has been closed for a number of days to ensure pedestrians are not on the same level as the cyclists.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7:30am after reports of a person falling from the London Bridge, where the bridge is located, the London Ambulance Service said.
The incident has not been confirmed as suspicious.
Emergency service spokesman Ian Cole said the man’s death was not being treated as suspicious and it was not yet known whether he was conscious at the time.
“It is understood that he was taken away by ambulance and taken to hospital by helicopter,” he said.
“The cause of his death is not yet being established and it is not known what is causing the death.”
