The Hockey Writer’s Association of Calgary announced the winners of the 2017 Canadian Hockey Writers Association Awards in the wake of the NHL’s announcement that the team was moving to Las Vegas for the 2018-19 season.

The awards were presented at the 2018 Canadian Hockey Awards, held at the Canadian Tire Centre, from Oct. 4-9.

A special honour was also bestowed upon the winners for the first time this season, as the players who played most significant roles in the team’s success at the 2016 Winter Olympics in Sochi were also honoured.

The winners were announced on Monday.
