Police search for two suspects after woman’s alleged rape

Police in Blackburn, England, have released a CCTV image of two men suspected of being responsible for a woman’s rape.
The alleged victim’s brother said on Twitter the two suspects are “old friends” and added that they have been in Blackburn for about three months.
Police said the suspects are of “Asian appearance” and are wearing a blue hoodie.
They were arrested and questioned by officers at the local police station on Friday afternoon.
Police told the BBC the two men were seen on CCTV leaving the home in the early hours of Saturday.
The woman was assaulted on Thursday, while she was walking home from a friend’s house in the Blackrock area of the city.
She reported the attack to police on Friday morning, but was unable to provide further details.
Blackburn’s local MP has called for a public inquiry into the attack.
Blackburn has a population of just under 4,000 people, and the incident has been referred to the police force’s national crime and disorder unit.
The incident has sparked concerns about racism in the city and across the country.
