Harborne: ‘The next step’ in treatment of PTSD

Harborne is taking the next step in her battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
The founder of the Center for Neurohormonal Therapy said that her first treatment is an outpatient program at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
She is in the midst of a second treatment program.
“My treatment is designed to give me the stability that I need in order to move forward with the rest of my life and not have to worry about whether or not I’ll ever be able to get back to work or be able access the resources I need to be able go back to the work I do today,” Harborne said.
Harborne’s doctor is now looking for her to attend a training session to be certified to provide treatment to veterans with PTSD.
Harborne says she is in a much better place now than she was in the beginning of the year, but she has not received any official government funding to help with the costs of her treatment.
“I don’t think anyone could have expected me to be where I am right now without having had some help, and I think that it is just the nature of what PTSD is.
I just don’t know what else to do,” Harborsi said.
